Why this blog?

Dear readers, if you have had the courage to read a few lines here, you will no doubt find that it lacks a certain lightness. That the tone is pessimistic. That the picture is bleak.

It is. But it is based on hope, on our talents, on yours.

2025 is a very strange year. It heralds an urgent future. A transformation is underway. 2026 will be a challenge.

Charlatans sing us their refrains. They beat a heady rhythm.

The monster lurking in the shadows is ready to reemerge. But we are not forced to be spectators and lament such a spectacle.

The future is not written. Our children will not die in war. It's up to us. The heady rhythm will not put us in a trance. You can count on many forces in this world, stubborn, calm, and hard-working women and men.

These people have the ability to dispel this fog of ideas and clear the path to our future.

This blog contributes to this in its own way. Modestly, but it does not remain silent. It does not follow the direction that these madmen are trying to take us. Thanks to your indulgence, it will not let the brown plague overwhelm us. This blog is nothing, but you, the reader, and everyone else can do anything.

This is how Stefan Zweig's words, written in 1932, resonate surprisingly today:

Time passes too quickly; problems arise rapidly, yesterday's problems are no longer today's problems and become more complicated by the hour. By the time a book is written, printed, and published, the problem it addressed has already been changed by reality, which is now faster and more powerful than any artist. Art should never be a report of reality; writers and poets must always precede events, never follow them. If the artist is not a pioneer, a bit of a prophet, bolder in his dreams than specialists with their cold calculations, if he is not more courageous than his readers, he is useless. It is his enthusiasm that helps his human and creative faith; his independent and free attitude can inspire confidence. Never has a joint effort been more necessary.

Thank you for your trust.
