The reality of the world

When did we enter the new reality of the world as seen by the US?

While it is impossible to pinpoint a single date, we can define a moment. It is the moment when two completely different dynamics began to converge.

They can be summed up in two quotes.
The first, by Steve Bannon, was at the heart of the MAGA movement's strategy:

Flood the zone with shit.

The second, by Mark Zuckerberg, was the mantra of Silicon Valley's Schumpeterian BDE development:

Move fast and break things.

Together, they explain how this imperial presidency is becoming methodical. How we have moved away from the first presidency, which was characterized by approximation, amateurs, and effective countervailing powers.

Despite this reality, there are journalists who talk about Trump as a visionary, or about the new mayor of New York (Zohran Mamdani) as a new hope for the left (what a joke), or even an anti-Trump figure. But it will only be more fuel for the infernal MAGA machine.

There are still people who understand this reality as little as they understood the consequences of the COVID virus, while taking snake oil to protect themselves and taking refuge in the allegations of the impostor Raoult 1. And today, in order to protect themselves from Trumpism, the logical opposite of wokism, they are betting on France's National Rally (RN).

  1. This name probably doesn't mean anything to you, which is perfectly natural, and you're not missing anything anyway. Didier Raoult is a French doctor, now seen as a symbol of deception, who made headlines during the Covid pandemic by proposing a fanciful prophylaxis and claiming that everyone else was wrong. Ultimately, he is a fraud whose scientific publications have since been largely retracted.
